Why are your watermelons so expensive? Hungry for Justice: Whose Voice is Missing? Post #3

Exploited. Marginalized. Devalued. Silenced. Made invisible. and Strong. Skilled. Motivated. Inspiring. The pathway to our better future. These are farmworkers, family farmers, people who slaughter and process our meat, fast food workers, local Mom and Pop grocery stores. These are people who work hard, contribute tremendously, and yet aren't always sure where their next meal is coming from, and they are not the only ones. We need to hear from people who shoulder the burdens of our food system. Their personal stories, experiences, ideas, and insights explain the root causes of injustice in our food system and how to fix it. It is up to us all to work together to dismantle the root causes of injustice and replace our current food system with one that is fair, sustainable, healthy and just for all of us. #HungryForJustice #WhoseVoiceIsMissing Follow our journey in Florida of asking “Whose Voice is Missing?” to find out what you can do to contribute to the growing grassroots movement for change.
